Catchin up on Summer News

The summer of 2011 was a long, dry, hot one.  Wichita broke a record of  53 -100 degree days.  It was very, very miserable and we still remain 19 inches below normal for precipitation for the year.

However on a brighter note. Dylann Maris came home to our world for her 6 week stay.  She came home on Fathers Day.  We celebrated her birthday that evening too!

It wasn't too many days after that they all left for Disney World!!  They had a wonderful time.  I am so happy that they got to go.

After getting back home it was pretty much swimming, and playing and staying and NaNa and Papas.  We had to sell our camper and boat so we did not go to the lake this year at all.  But thanks to a wonderful neighbor, who let us swim in her pool, that was better that any lake ever coulda been.  We took an trip to Dillons Nature Center and fed some GIGANTIC fish, and Mya almost fed herself to them too!!

Here was Addy and Mya staying with me while the big girls stayed all night with Aunt Jaime and Kolby across the street.  I am not sure who got the better end of the deal!!!  We had lots of fun.

Which by the way, it is a beautiful fall day here today.  AND Oklahoma and Kansas had an earthquake last night.  Alot of people felt it, but we were sound asleep.  Darn it!!
